Are we really ready for the second?

Nina modelling her new stomach while Kenneth makes a break for it.

It's probably too late for us to ask the above question. Baby #2 is expected to arrive in mid-August, although it looks like he or she wants to come a lot earlier from the size of Nina's belly in the picture.

The picture was snapped at Wiesen near Davos. Last week we took a mini-vacation (3 nights 4 days) at a children's hotel in Wiesen. Kenneth and Nina enjoyed taking in the fresh mountain air while Kevin enjoyed a little spring skiing in slightly slushy but sunny conditions. It was an interesting experience to stay in a children's hotel. The hotel review from Kevin might be the topic of another blog...

Anyway, getting back to the main topic, Kenneth will be welcoming a baby brother or sister this summer! The timing is perfect for our current situation. Nina started working part-time in November and who would have believed that she would get pregnant again in no time (and that the baby would stick--21+ weeks so far--after our experience with two miscarriages before Kenny). It is a welcome relief for Nina to take mid-day naps with Kenneth on the two days she is at home with him. Despite all of our happiness on the upcoming addition to our family, every exhilirating but exhausting day spent with an active toddler like Kenneth always leads Kevin to wonder out loud at the end of the day "how are we gonna do this with two?!"

Nina, you do look great! (And so does Kenny!) Please have your life totally and completely organized prior to the arrival of number two, and don't try to move house! Well, I know you and Kevin can do this better than me. Love,
Debbie
